British Glass Biennale
Rachel has been selected to exhibit in the prestigious British Glass
Biennale exhibition, a highlight of the the International Festival of
Glass.

North Yorkshire Open Studios
Stable Studio, 14 Royal Crescent Lane, Scarborough, YO11 2RL
Rachel will be opening her studio to visitors on Fri 11th, Sat 12th and
Sunday 13th June, plus Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June, 10.30am -
5.30pm. There will be work in progress, examples of past projects and
works on paper. Selected works will be available for sale.

Exciting new sponsorship deal has been secured
with Saint Gobain Glass UK (SGGUK).
The company will providing Rachel
with raw materials and business development funding as well as
commissioning two major pieces of artwork. The first will be a wall
based piece of glass artwork made in collaboration with artist Eleanor
Bird for the company's boardroom. The second will consist of floor to
ceiling glass window panels for the main reception foyer, in
celebration of the 10th anniversary of the opening of the company's
Eggborough factory. This is just the beginning of what is shaping up to
be a very exciting and fruitful relationship for both Rachel and SGGUK.

New collaborative commission with Electric Angel Design working with poet John Clarke to make art waymarking for landscaping on the old railway line between Scarborough and Whitby. This also involves workshops with young people. www.railwayart.com

Technology Strategy Board ‘Creative Industries Feasibility Study’
A £15,000 award to undertake research and development exploring technology within architectural glass, concentrating on digital imaging, water-jet cutting and the artistic application of coated glass.
